# Getting Started

> Do these steps once before you use any product. Most software needs at least some of these.

Do these steps **before** you download or run any product. You only have to do them once.

  These steps are optional per product, but most products require at least some of them. Skipping steps is the #1 reason software doesn't launch. When in doubt, do all of them.

    Make sure your PC meets the [System Requirements](/getting-started/system-requirements).

  <Step title="Turn off any external antivirus">
    Do not have any third-party antivirus running (Avast, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, etc.). Uninstall them if you have them.

  <Step title="Uninstall Riot Vanguard and FACEIT/ESEA">
    These anticheats block our software even when their games are closed.

  <Step title="Disable Secure Boot in BIOS">
    Restart your PC, enter BIOS, and turn off Secure Boot.

  <Step title="Disable Virtualization in BIOS">
    In the same BIOS, turn off Virtualization (VT-x / AMD-V).

    <Note>
      **KRUSH users:** you actually need Virtualization **ON**, not off. Check your product page.

  <Step title="Disable TPM (spoofer users only)">
    If you use the built-in spoofer, disable TPM in BIOS. If you don't use a spoofer, skip this.
