# Apex Legends

> Full setup and launch guide for Apex Legends (KRUSH).

## 1. System prep

Do these **before** downloading the loader.

  <Step title="Enable Virtualization in BIOS">
    Restart into BIOS and turn on **Virtualization** (VT-x / AMD-V).

  <Step title="Disable Secure Boot in BIOS">
    Same BIOS screen — turn off Secure Boot.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Disable TPM">
    In BIOS, turn off TPM.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Disable Windows Defender">
    Follow [Disable Windows Defender](/support/disable-windows-defender).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Disable all Windows security">
    Turn off every remaining Windows security feature (real-time protection, tamper protection, cloud-delivered protection).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Remove antivirus and debuggers">
    Uninstall any third-party antivirus and any debugging or reverse-engineering tools.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Disable anticheat providers">
    Disable FACEIT, Riot Vanguard, and any other anticheats.

  <Step title="Install Runtimes & DirectX">
    Follow [Install Runtimes & DirectX](/support/runtimes-and-directx).

  <Step title="Disable other overlays">
    Disable any overlays you don't need for this product (Overwolf, SteelSeries, Steam, etc.).

## 2. Launch

  KRUSH launcher.

  <Step title="Run the launcher as admin">
    Right-click the launcher and **Run as administrator**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Medal as admin">
    Download [Medal](https://medal.tv/) and run it as administrator. **Keep it open** the whole time.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Register an account (first time only)">
    Click the **Register** tab, then **Create**. Wait for the dashboard to load.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate your license">
    Click **Activate License**, paste your key, and confirm.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the game and inject">
    Click **Select Game**, pick Apex Legends, then follow the injection prompts.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set Apex to Borderless">
    In Apex's video settings, make sure **Display Mode = Borderless Window**. Fullscreen will not work.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the game and press F2">
    Launch Apex and wait until you're in the main menu / lobby. Press **F2** to load the menu.
