# Fortnite

## 1. System prep

Make sure you've completed the [Getting Started checklist](/getting-started/before-installing) first.

<Warning>
  Disable **everything** related to security — Windows Defender, Windows password/PIN (if you use the spoofer), and anything else that protects the system.
</Warning>

<Note>
  First launch may reboot your PC a few times. Just reopen the loader after each restart.
</Note>

## 2. Launch

<Warning>
  Read every step. **Never test features on the shooting range.**

<Steps>
  <Step title="Run Medal or Discord as admin">
    Download [Medal](https://medal.tv/) OR Discord. Run one of them as administrator. It provides the overlay.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run the loader">
    Launch the Exodus loader. Keep focus on the monitor you want the overlay on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste your license key">
    In the loader, **right-click** to paste your key, then press **Enter**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Answer Cleaner / Spoofer prompts">
    The loader asks about Cleaner and Spoofer every launch. Choose what you need.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Launch EGS, then spoof">
    Open Epic Games Launcher first. **Only spoof after** EGS is open.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Launch Fortnite">
    Once the CMD window closes, launch Fortnite. Wait up to 3 minutes for the menu to load in the main menu.
